1. Provider and scope

Raijin2 – the website raijin2.de, the launcher and the game server – is operated by:

Below, the operator is referred to as “we” and you as a user as “you”. These Terms of Service apply to all parts of Raijin2. By registering you agree to them. Any terms of your own do not apply. How we handle your data is described in the Privacy Policy.

2. What Raijin2 offers

Raijin2 is a privately operated, unofficial game server for an online role-playing game. Playing is free. You may voluntarily buy the virtual currency Raijincoins and exchange it for virtual items in the item shop (sections 8 and 9). Free use does not give you a claim that particular game content, a particular game balance or the server itself will remain unchanged permanently; rights arising from paid purchases are not affected.

3. Minimum age and minors

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you need the consent of your parents or legal guardians – for using the service and all the more for any purchase of Raijincoins. Parents or guardians may contact us at any time if an account was created without their consent; we will then suspend or delete it.

4. Your account

• The details you give when registering must be correct, especially your e-mail address. You use it to confirm your registration and to reset your password or PIN. There is exactly one account per e-mail address.
• Password, PIN and delete code are personal. Keep them secret and never share them – not even with alleged team members. Our team will never ask for your password or PIN.
• An account belongs to one person. Selling, buying, trading, lending or sharing accounts is not allowed.
• If you suspect that someone has access to your account, change your password and PIN immediately and contact support.
• You are responsible for actions taken through your account to the extent you are at fault – for example because you shared your credentials.
• Account and character names must not insult anyone, must not be offensive or politically extreme, must not misuse third-party trademarks or names of real people and must not suggest that you are part of the team. We may require inappropriate names to be changed or suspend the character.

5. Rules of conduct

Raijin2 should be fair and enjoyable for everyone. In particular, the following is not allowed:

• Programs or modifications that give you an unfair advantage or automate the game: cheats, hacks, bots, macros, speed or wall hacks, modified client files, packet manipulation.
• Deliberately exploiting errors (bugs, exploits, duplicating items or yang). If you find a bug, please report it to support instead of using or spreading it.
• Attacks on the server, the website or other players (for example denial-of-service attacks, phishing, spying on credentials).
• Insults, harassment, threats, discrimination, hate speech, extremist or sexual content and spam – in chat, names, guilds and shops.
• Trading accounts, items, yang or Raijincoins for real money or other consideration outside the game (real-money trading, “RMT”) and advertising such trades.
• Advertising other game servers or commercial offers.
• Impersonating team members or circumventing instructions from the team.
• Anything that violates applicable law.

Additional game rules that we announce in game, on the website or on Discord also apply to the extent they specify these terms.

6. Anti-cheat check

To detect bots, the game shows a short number check (captcha) after about 30 minutes of active play. You have two minutes and three attempts. While the check is open, you receive no experience points and no drops after a short grace period. If it is not solved in time or after three failed attempts, you are disconnected automatically; you can log in again immediately. There is no automatic ban for this. If such disconnects pile up, the team will look into the case.

7. Measures in case of violations

If you violate these terms, depending on severity and repetition we may

• warn you,
• temporarily restrict chat, trading or individual functions,
• suspend a character or account temporarily or permanently,
• remove items, yang or advantages obtained through the violation,
• in serious cases terminate the user agreement without notice and delete the account.

We take your legitimate interests into account and choose the mildest suitable measure. If you think a measure is wrong, you can appeal to support ([email protected]) within 30 days; a team member other than the one who decided will review it. Statutory rights remain unaffected.

8. Raijincoins and item shop

• Raijincoins are a virtual currency for Raijin2 only. They are not money, not e-money and not a credit balance with us; they have no monetary value outside the game. They cannot be paid out, exchanged back into money or transferred to other accounts unless the law requires otherwise (for example after a withdrawal, section 10).
• You exchange Raijincoins in the item shop – in game or on the website – for virtual items or advantages. The price of an item and how long it lasts are shown with each offer. Items with a duration (for example 7 or 30 days) expire after that time.
• Purchased items are placed in your account’s item shop storage. You collect them there in game. Please check before buying whether the item suits your character.
• Raijincoin vouchers are in-game items that credit Raijincoins to your account when redeemed. The same rules apply to them as to Raijincoins.
• Virtual items are rights of use within the game (section 13). We may adjust values and properties of items to maintain game balance; items already purchased will not be devalued without compensation unless there is an objective reason.
• We may correct Raijincoins and item shop purchases that resulted from errors, abuse or chargebacks.

9. Buying Raijincoins and payment

• You buy Raijincoins in fixed packages on the deposit page. Prices are final prices in euros. A contract with us is concluded once you complete the payment on the checkout page; before that you can change or cancel your selection at any time. We do not store the contract text separately; you can see your orders under “My account” and in the confirmation e-mail.
• Payment is processed by the payment provider Stripe (cards and other payment methods offered there). Stripe’s terms also apply to the payment. We do not receive card or bank account data.
• Raijincoins are credited to your account as soon as Stripe reports the successful payment – usually within a few seconds. If the credit does not arrive, contact support with your order number.
• If you are a minor, you may only buy with the consent of your parents or guardians (section 3).

10. Right of withdrawal

If you buy Raijincoins as a consumer, you have a statutory right of withdrawal.

11. Chargebacks

If you have a payment reversed without a valid reason (for example through your bank or card issuer), we may suspend the account until the matter is resolved and deduct the credited Raijincoins again. You may have to reimburse fees we incur as a result of an unjustified chargeback. If you have a problem with a purchase, please contact support first – it can usually be solved quickly. Your right of withdrawal and other statutory rights remain unaffected.

12. Availability and game changes

• We strive for stable operation but cannot promise uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, updates, technical faults, attacks or outages at service providers may cause interruptions. We announce planned maintenance in advance where possible.
• After serious errors or data loss it may be necessary to reset the game state to a backup (rollback). Items bought with Raijincoins that are lost as a result will be restored after review.
• Raijin2 is continuously developed. We may change game content, values, maps, events and functions if there is a valid reason (for example game balance, bug fixes, security, technical development) and the change is reasonable for you.
• To play you need a suitable Windows PC, an internet connection and the current client, which the launcher downloads at every start. We are not responsible for your devices or your connection.

13. Rights to game content

Characters, items, yang, Raijincoins and all other game content are data on our server. You receive a personal, non-transferable right to use them in game under these terms; you do not acquire ownership or any other right to dispose of them outside the game. We may display content you create yourself (names, chat messages, guild names) in game and on the website – for example in rankings – as long as your account exists. You are responsible for this content.

14. Termination and deletion

• You can terminate the user agreement at any time without notice by requesting deletion of your account by e-mail to [email protected]. Please write from the address stored for the account. Upon deletion, characters, items and unused Raijincoins lapse; statutory claims, for example from a withdrawal, remain unaffected.
• We may terminate the user agreement with four weeks’ notice, for example if we shut down the server. We will announce a shutdown on the website at least four weeks in advance so that you can still use existing Raijincoins. Statutory claims remain unaffected.
• Both sides’ right to terminate for good cause remains unaffected (for us, for example, in case of serious violations under section 7).

15. Liability

• We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the German Product Liability Act and to the extent of any guarantee given.
• In case of slight negligence, we are only liable for breach of an essential contractual obligation – that is, an obligation whose fulfilment makes proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose fulfilment you may regularly rely. Liability is then limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract.
• Otherwise liability for slight negligence is excluded. This also applies to our agents.
• To the extent you use Raijin2 free of charge, we are liable – except for injury to life, body or health – only for intent and gross negligence.

16. Third-party services

We link to services of others, for example our Discord server and toplists for Vote4Bonus. The terms and privacy notices of their operators apply to these services; we have no influence on their content.

17. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms with effect for the future if there is an objective reason – for example new features, changes in the law or case law. We will inform you of changes by e-mail and on the website at least four weeks before they take effect. If a change affects essential rights and obligations (such as prices or the scope of services already purchased), we will expressly ask for your consent. If you do not agree with a change, you can terminate the contract before it takes effect.

18. Applicable law and final provisions

• The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer habitually resident in another EU member state, you additionally retain the protection of the mandatory consumer protection rules of that state.
• We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
• Should any provision be invalid, the remaining provisions remain valid; the statutory provision replaces the invalid one.
• The contract language is German. The English version of these terms is for information only.
